ACC Cares

Giving back from the heart.

At American Campus Communities, we’re all about building community and empowering young people. That starts at our communities, but it doesn’t stop there. American Campus Charities Foundation supports charitable activities focused on disadvantaged youth and education in our hometown of Austin, Texas as well as in the local markets served by our communities.

We take great pride in our sponsorships and relationships with industry-leading organizations and academic associations.

We also support the U.S. Green Building Council as an advocate of environmentally responsible building practices, and support youth and families in crisis through community-based and nationwide organizations.

We support.

  • Boys & Girls Club of America

Leveraging our development skills, we are helping build a new club in our Austin hometown, while also engaging some of our local student communities to help provide support.

  • The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts

ACC provides financial support and sponsorship to the ASPVA, a full-time private school for young artists in grades 6 through 12.

  • Lifeworks

This local organization is a fearless advocate for youth and families seeking paths to self-sufficiency. The ACC team provided pre-development consultation and construction management support to help LifeWorks build a state-of-the-art supportive living center and new headquarters.

  • The Rise School of Austin

The ACC team provided predevelopment and assisted in fundraising for The Rise School, Austin's first and only school dedicated to inclusive early education for children with and without disabilities. The Rise School of Austin uses individualized learning techniques to enable every child to achieve his or her maximum potential.

  • Explore Austin

Explore Austin uses mentorship, leadership, and outdoor adventure to empower youth to reach their full potential. Since 2016, ACC has sponsored this local organization through the ACC Charity Foundation and various volunteer activities to help improve the well-being of the participants and the community.
